EXCEL ROTA → PERSONAL CALENDAR
Your shifts.
Your calendar.
Pick your row or column from a team spreadsheet. Check the times, then download your calendar.
Your spreadsheet stays in this browser. No AI uploads.
Open your rota
.xlsx or comma-separated .csv · up to 2 MB
Works with dates across a row or down a column, and shift codes such as D, N or OFF. PDFs, photos and irregular layouts are not supported.
Select your cells
Find the cell addresses in the table. Select the dates and only your shifts, in the same order. Do not include the name or heading cells.
Set your shift times
Confirm every code, including blank cells. An end time earlier than the start means the shift ends the following day.
Review every date
Import into a separate calendar
In Google Calendar on a computer, create a new calendar under Settings → Add calendar. Then use Import & export, choose the .ics file and select that new calendar.
This is a one-off snapshot. Changes to your rota will not sync. Importing again can create duplicates. Keep each import in a separate calendar so you can remove it without touching your other events.
Export uses UTC timestamps to preserve the actual shift times. Your calendar displays them in its selected timezone. We have not verified Apple Calendar compatibility.
This optional confirmation is anonymous. Please report issues without attaching your colleagues’ names or schedules.
A small tool for a specific job
Team sheet in, your shifts out
No need to turn the rota into a separate event table. Select matching date and shift ranges from the original matrix.
You decide what each code means
Use the times supplied by your employer. Unknown codes, invalid dates and ambiguous clock-change times block the export.
No spreadsheet upload
File reading and conversion run on your device. No account, calendar authorization, installation or subscription.
